It was a lively and fun-filled party at The Quad nightclub in New Kingston on Sunday night in honour of triple world record holder Usain Bolt.
The excitement started when Bolt entered the building and was immediately surrounded by still and video cameras. He stood near the entrance for several minutes, posing for pictures, before he moved on to meet those who turned out for his private party.
The sight of Bolt

Most persons there were preoccupied with the sight of Bolt and paid the music no attention.
Eventually, they moved on to the Voodoo Lounge where Bolt also went.
There, cultural songs were pumping. The audience got a treat of conscious songs such as Sizzla's Rise To The Occasion and Etana's I Am Not Afraid, with the resident DJ making regular reference to Bolt's speed.
Many guests were present. Politicians such as Ruddy Spencer, Mike Henry, Olivia Grange and former Prime Minister P.J. Patterson were there. The entertainment personalities present included Bounty Killer, Erup, Bling Dawg, Wayne Marshall, Christopher Martin, D Major, Ce'Cile, Lady Saw, Nikki Z, Kahlil, Rising Stars winner Cameal and Elephant Man. Some of the athletes present were Jermaine Gonzales, Asafa Powell, Nesta Carter and Michael Frater.
Lifetime membership
Bolt danced and posed for pictures throughout the proceedings. He was presented with a computer, and was even given lifetime membership to the clubs Quad and Asylum, which, he said, was like his second home.
He was also presented with a Biggy-designed blazer, courtesy of Guinness, as a mark of his greatness. Asafa Powell was also given lifetime membership to the two nightclubs.
But, after all the formalities, Bolt just wanted to enjoy himself. It reached the point where he asked people to stop taking pictures, for at least a few minutes or a couple hours, so that he could party with his friends.
And, that he did. He partied like a rock star to the songs being played by ZJ Liquid. Songs such as Lil' Wayne's A Milli and Usher's Love In the Club had the crowd rocking. Rihanna's Take A Bow and T.I's Whatever You Like were well received by the women.
Real hardcore dancing
After the rocking, came the real hardcore dancing. The crowd started to do some of the latest dance moves such as 'Sweep', 'Nuh Linga', 'Gully Creepa' and 'Dip Again'. Even Bounty Killer was dancing and laughing as he partied the night away.
The volume of the music was low for several minutes but, when it returned to its maximum level, the women were 'backing up' and wining to crowd pleasers such as Anthony B's Tease Har and Munga Honourable's Wine Pon It.
After the 'daggerin' songs, Mavado's Real Killa and Vybz Kartel and Jah Vinci's Weh Dem A Guh, both on the Day Rave Rhythm, were replayed several times at the request of Bolt. As the two songs were played, the shouting in the club became deafening and people knocked bottles on tables, some of which sent splinters flying.
The guests enjoyed themselves and many left the venue rocking to RDX's Everybody Dance as the 1 a.m. cut-off time approached.
