Celebrities' pick for Rising Stars

It is finally here! The grand finale of the 2008 Digicel Rising Stars Competition is on tonight. The votes will decide whether the soulful singer, Cameal, or the energetic group, Kahlil, will take the coveted top spot.

Now that the competition is down to its final moments, THE STAR got some feedback from persons in the entertainment industry, as to who they felt would be crowned this year's winner.

THE STAR asked: Who do you think will win the 2008 Digicel Rising Stars Competition?

"Kahlil. Because both of them are great singers, but in terms of stage performance the guys have it. It's that simple. They have what it takes to keep people moving in a live show."

"I would seh Cameal still. Cameal kinda have the place a way. She just have the confidence, she is a great singer and she doesn't overdo anything when she is performing."

Tessanne Chin

"It's such a close call. I am definitely rooting for Cameal. It's unbelievable that a woman hasn't won the competition. It would be total domination and woman power if she wins."

Konshens

"Any woman weh deh deh. Mi just want a woman fi win. But Cameal have the talent and she is a good singer. I think a female needs to win the competition so they can eliminate that whole stigma."
