Man 'chucks' to freedom

Arthur Johnson left the Corporate Area Resident Magistrate's Court as a free man on Wednesday.

Johnson had been charged with assault occasioning bodily harm, however, a no order was made, as the complainant, who is also the mother of his child, decided that she did not want to continue with the matter.

Johnson told the court that the complainant had disrespected him by telling him curse words. He added, "She was fighting me, your honour, and mi chuck off har face."

Senior Resident Magistrate Glen Brown could only release Johnson as this was the complainant's wish.
