Ken's Wildflower lifts trophy

Ken's Wildflower lifted the Charles Simpson Pre-sident's trophy after a five-wicket win over nemesis Colours International in the RBTT-sponsored mid-season final of the Petcom/MegaMart Portmore Metropolitan Cric-ket League on Sunday.

Colours International batted first and made 125 for 8 off 30 overs, with Richard Johnson top scoring with 37, and Kerry Scott 34 not out.

Ken's Wildflower's Lloyd Rattray took 2 for 24. In reply, Ken's Wildflower cruised to 129 for 5 off 27.1 overs with Kirk Brooks leading the way with 30, and wicketkeeper/batsman Junior Stewart making 23.

Richard Johnson 2 for 37 was Colours' most successful bowler. At the end of the game, Richard Maise, of the sponsors, RBTT, presented the trophy to Denworth Barber, captain of the Ken's Wildflower's cricket team.
