No leave for father

Dear Pastor,

I am currently in the midst of a four-year-old long-distance relationship. After numerous trips, back and forth to the island, my partner and I decided to get married and start a family. Now, I am pregnant and in my third trimester and hoping to marry him as soon as he gets here. My partner has booked his holiday with his supervisors in the Jamaica Constabulary Force. I asked him to combine his holiday with his paternity holiday, so as to make his visit longer, but I was shocked to find out that male officers aren't entitled to such a thing.

Pastor, why is that so?

K.M., Florida, USA

Dear K.M.,

I do not know. Discuss that concern with your gentleman.

Pastor
