The weekly Dutty Fridaze dance is set to return this Friday with another change in venue. The popular street dance will now be staged inside the Asylum night club in New Kingston.

The event, which is dubbed, 'Dutty Fridaze - the club edition', will be held from 11 p.m. to 5 a.m.

The sponsors for the event are 2 Gran Promotions and Hypnotiq. The music will be provided by Stone Love, Swatch International, Gary Chuck and CD Master.

When contacted, Dutty Fridaze promoter and popular videographer, Wayne '2 Gran' Bartley said, "Right now, we're doing tours across the island, but we didn't have the original base in Fletcher's Land because of the little issues. But for now, we will be inside the Asylum from September 19 until further notice, but we plan to take Dutty Fridaze back outdoors, because di inside ting a nuh really our vibes."

Bartley also said that he was seeking a permanent home for Dutty Fridaze.

"We're in dialogue with some real business people downtown in terms of getting Dutty Fridaze a stable spot back downtown, but nothing has been confirmed as yet," said Bartley.

Earlier this year, the weekly dance had to uproot from its original location in Fletcher's Land, Kingston and move to Hellshire Beach because no police permit was granted due to an upsurge in violence in the surrounding communities. This Friday will be the third time that the event would have had to change venues.
