Radio's morning host with the most, Nikki Z has been suspended from ZIP 103 FM after a curse word was accidentally played during her set on radio.

An apologetic Nikki Z, real name Nicole Duhaney, told THE STAR that she was unaware that news of the suspension had begun to circulate.

Suspension last Saturday

According to Nikki Z, she was informed of the suspension last Saturday. She said, "To me there's nothing really to talk about ... no one's more sorry about what happened than me, it's unfortunate that it happened to me ... I did listen to it (the song) before, a word slipped me and I just didn't hear it. I let down my boss and he had to do what he had to do."

Indefinite time

When THE STAR contacted D' Adra Willams, programmes manager for ZIP 103 FM, she confirmed that the radio personality had been suspended for an indefinite time, which could be from a week to whenever the company deems fit. Williams could not confirm when Nikki Z would be back on air. Nikki Z has been hosting her popular show, which airs Monday-Friday 6 a.m. - 10 a.m., for the past two and a half years. This is her first suspension.

Extremely sorry

According to Nikki Z she is extremely sorry about what happened and wants to apologise to her fans, especially the children. She told THE STAR that she has a good relationship with the station and says that her job is her life in Jamaica. "I love my job, it's my life here cause my family lives abroad, so the only ting I have here is my job," she said.

Birthday party

The outspoken personality will be using her time off to deal with business. She told THE STAR, "I have a lot of things coming up, I'm getting ready for my birthday party which is November 22nd at Sugar Man's Beach Club. Last year it got rave reviews, this year it's gonna be an all-day event. There will be different events for people to come and do and a lot of prizes to win."

Going to a number of prisons

She continued, "I'm also going to a number of prisons, trying to I guess, talk to the juveniles about the different occupations there are. Radio is one of them. I hear they have a radio programme over there so I'm going to talk about my profession ... which is cool for me, cause a lot of people don't realise I'm not from a money background so this is my kinda ting."

Part in the film

Among other things on her plate is a potential role in the upcoming movie Gangsta. Nikki Z stated that she has auditioned for a small part in the film, which reportedly features rappers Rick Ross, Trina, Foxy Brown, as well as Mavado and Rohan Marley. She will also be spending her down time working on getting her website, www.divanikkiz.com, up and running, as well as filming the video for the song Belly Ring, with Leftside.
