Truck driver in manslaughter case has bail extended

A truck driver charged with the death of three persons including a pastor and a three-year-old girl following an accident, had his bail extended when he returned to the Spanish Town Resident Magistrate's Court on Tuesday.

Richard Spencer from Kingston, is charged with causing death by dangerous driving, after the trailer he was driving collided with a minibus killing Pastor Asa Green, 52, Marcia Scott 37, and Scott's daughter Noella, who were its passengers.

Spencer was arrested shortly after accident, which occurred in Kitson Town, St. Catherine, and charged. In his first court appearance before Resident Magistrate's Vashti Chatoos, he was granted $200,000 bail. Following Tuesday's appearance he was ordered to return to court on September 23.
