Marrying papers

Dear Pastor,

I need your help. I am a 19-year-old woman and I have a child. I just got married to the father of my child. I live in London, but my husband lives in Jamaica. The thing is, I wanted him to come and live with me here, but he didn't want to come at first. I need help with his child. He works in Jamaica and he didn't want to leave his job. But as soon as I got married to him, he wanted to come. I was trying to get him to come for years. I got him jobs here and I even got him a work permit. I don't understand.

Loves him

I love him and he loves me a lot, but I want to know if he got married to me just to come here and get his stay or if he married me for love. He even wants me to take his child to Jamaica to live with him so I can save to bring him up, because I don't work, I stay home with my child.

Pastor, can you help me to understand this.

M., London, England

Dear M.,

it is too late to be wondering whether this man married you because he wants to live in the UK. You always wanted him to live there, so stop questioning his motives and work on his papers.

Pastor
