A man who allegedly stole two windows and attempted to steal two more was remanded when he appeared in the Corporate Area Resident Magistrate's Court on Wednesday.
Orrette Burton has pleaded not guilty to attempted larceny.
However, the investigating officer told the court that he would be charged with larceny as two other windows that were stolen from the property were recovered and seemed to have been taken by him as well.
Allegations read in court are that on August 20, two impact-resistant glass windows valued at $200,000 were stolen from the property of the complainant.
The complainant then employed the services of Ranger Security company on August 22, the security guard saw Burton enter the grounds and attempt to steal two impact-resistant glass windows.
However, Burton's lawyer claimed his client was innocent and that he had gone to the premises and spoken to the security guards. However, Senior Resident Magistrate Glen Brown did not grant his client bail, and instead, remanded him until September 10, when the matter will again be mentioned.
