Suffering in silence

Dear Pastor,

I have been with a man I call my husband for about 10 years and married for five years. I have lived in Ohio for the past 16 years. He has cheated on me and I found out and he acted as if it was nothing and all men cheat. He gets mad at me because the woman he cheated on me with told my mother everything and he didn't want her to know.

Now that he has lived here with me for a year, this has been the worst year of my life. He puts me down because I had a baby and can't lose the weight. He talks to girls in front of my face and it makes me sometimes not want to live because I love this man with everything I've got.

Pastor, I really need your help. Tell me what to do. .

Y. R., Ohio, USA

Dear Y. R.,

Do not suffer in silence. Tell somebody that you are having problems with your husband. Pastor

Ask someone in whom you have confidence to talk to your husband about his conduct. Ask the minister of your church to talk to him. Your mother knows that he has cheated, so she can have a word with him.

I must warn you to watch jealousy. If your husband talks to women in your presence that does not mean that he is having a relationship with them.

Pastor
