Pakistan has asked the International Cricket Council (ICC) to provide a security checklist to help it stage the postponed Champions Trophy next year.
The ICC board announced its decision yesterday to delay the September 12-28 tournament for a year after several countries expressed concerns over safety.
"Every country has its different demand list," Pakistan Cricket Board's chief operating officer Shafqat Naghmi told reporters. "What we want now is a comprehensive 'things to do' from the ICC so that we could implement those measures in the next home series against India."
Pakistan hosts India in January 2009 for three Tests.
South Africa, New Zealand, England and defending champion Australia had expressed doubts over security arrangements in Pakistan.
Naghmi called those concerns "perception vs reality."
"When suicide bombings happen in Pakistan, of course those who live thousands of miles away from our country have fears," Naghmi said.
However, he noted that the ICC's security team had cleared Pakistan as a safe venue.
"We even told these four countries to send their representatives and have their own security assessment," he said.
Naghmi also said that Pakistan would have boycotted the Champions Trophy if the ICC moved it to Sri Lanka.
"Not only us, but India had also decided to boycott," Naghmi said.
The ICC board will meet in Dubai from September 11-12 to discuss a new date for the Champions Trophy.
