Dear Pastor,
I am a 24-year-old woman living in Jamaica with my boyfriend. He has done a lot of bad things to me. He cheats and also keeps answering his phone at nights while we are in bed. He lies through his teeth. I have evidence that he is sleeping with a 16-year-old schoolgirl, and he is 24. One Saturday, she called and asked for him and I told her that he lives with someone, so she should stop calling him. Then she started to send text messages to him. He denies our relationship to her, so she keeps calling him.
Baby on the way
He is my babyfather to be. The baby will soon be born, and I do not know what to do where he is concerned. He is not going out at nights. He is always at home with me, but it seems that he does not know what he wants. I love him and he says he loves me too, but, pastor, it's hard to believe him.
S., St Elizabeth, Jamaica.
Dear S.,
if this young man is always at home with you, when does he have time to be with the other woman? He has done you wrong, but both of you love each other. And, although you know that he may have been intimate with this 16-year-old, you have had unprotected sex with him. And now you are pregnant.
I don't know if you are employed, but if you are not, you need to get a job soon after you have given birth. Put the baby in day care and go to work, so that you will be able to support yourself.
Do not respond to this 16-year-old.
Pastor
