'Girls Gone Wild' back with a bang

Krista Henry, Staff Reporter

It was all about getting low and dirty.

Assassin's weekly party, 'Girls Gone Wild' was relaunched with a bang last Tuesday night with a wild, entertainment package and x-rated show.

There was a buzz around the venue when THE STAR arrived after 11 p.m., with more persons out earlier than previous nights.

Dubbed the 'pimp and hoes' edition with promises of artiste performances, a dance competition and giveaways, patrons came out to be a part of the excitement.

Inside the venue was lit with a video screen showing images from the dance, with a Monster Energy Drink area sectioned off with the 'Monster Girls' dancing behind a screen.

While the night turned out to be a success it was not all smooth sailing in the beginning. By the bar persons clamoured to get the free Henessey that was being offered before midnight. However, by 11 p.m. the free Henessey was finished and disappointed persons had to settle for other, but not as good, free liquor.

While the selector did his best to pump up the vibes, problems with the sound system soon annoyed patrons and the selector alike, due to a number of cuts in the power supply. The selector then called for the promoters to turn off some of the lights, while one female shouted, "a flop dis flop."

'Head top'

When the sound was sorted out, it was all uphill as the 'Monster girls' worked overtime on and off the stage, standing on their heads, wining on stage and even on the pole that was set up.

Assassin made his appearance looking pimpish in a blue jacket, sunglasses, posing with his cigar and walking with a pimp swagger. He posed like a true pimp surrounded by his 'hoes', the 'Monster Girls', for the cameras. Entertainers such as Turbulence, Konshens, Voicemail and Anthony Cruz were spotted in the crowd enjoying the vibe.

A toast to bolt

Olympic champion Usain Bolt was the toast of the night as the selector boastfully said, "big up Usain Bolt when him win de 200 metre I hope him beat him chest twice as hard," drawing on Mavado's Overcome and On The Go to a massive forward. Bolt was present in the dances as well, as THE STAR spotted Dance Xpressions doing Usain's signature 'lightening bolt' move, hitting their chest and showing where the 'Jamaica' would be written on their shirt.

Host Miss Kitty soon made an appearance as she stepped out alongside the 'Monster Girls' wining to Beenie Man's Know How Fi Wine as the crowd railed up as she cried, "yeah fluffy to di world."

Later, it was time for the dancing competition as Daggering from Montego Bay went up against Tina from Duhaney Park the later winning US$100.

The women only got wilder as the 'wet t-shirt competition' began. Four women quickly changed into their t-shirts as water was poured on them.

Simone was first and gave a very tepid performance showing off her butt cheeks, in the end, to get some cheers. Tweet, a slim brown women from Spanish Town followed, but was no competition, as she had only her stiff chest to show.

Daggering took the show as she jiggled her breasts to pandemonium from the crowd. Tanisha followed and tried to outdo Daggering by lifting her t-shirt and showcasing her breasts. However her dancing skills were lacking and Daggering took home US$100 and a gift basket from Victoria's Secret.

Look out for the coverage on the artistes perfor-mances at Girls Gone Wild in tomorrow's STAR.
