Deejay Vybz Kartel also added his own congratulations to the Jamaican Olympic team at the 2008 Beijing Games in a statement released yesterday.

"Congrats to Mr Bolt, Shelly-Ann Fraser and the entire Olympic team for yet another mind-blowing display of raw Jamaican talent, strength and determination. Usain and Asafa Powell will undoubtedly go down in history as two of the greatest male athletes ever," the statement said.

"And I have to give special congratulations to the women who created history with a clean sweep in the 100 metres final. Our Jamaican women are world-beaters in almost every endeavour or occupation. Overall, the Jamaican Olympic team has proven that with combined effort, teamwork and humility, we can indeed conquer the unconquerable and achieve what was thought before to be impossible and I lift my hat to them and congratulate them with all my heart," Kartel expressed.
