Music is the only source that drives us in everything that we do: this is the belief of brothers Jason and Rupert Thomas, recording managers of Treadda Productions.

The co-founders of the Portmore-based studio said that they have risen above the dream of a birth in the music industry, and are now focused on making Treadda Productions a force to be reckoned with.

"It's a young production with greater things to happen. Everyday there is something going on," said the elder brother Jason.

"The challenge is to get contacts, then we have to persuade them," he added.

Recognised

The other sibling Rupert hinted that in the near future Treadda Productions will become a recognised brand which many artistes will want to be part of.

"Artistes will want to voice on Treadda's rhythms ... 'cause we have a lot in store," he said.

Thus far they have released two rhythms, Border Line and Healing which has been getting positive feedback and have featured popular artistes like Lutan Fyah and Ras Ghandi. Other upcoming artistes include Fyakin, Classical Eska and Ginger along with Renegad and Buzhrock who are signed to the recording label.

Conscious message

The signed artistes said they will be spreading conscious messages through their music to the youths who need it the most.

"What we (Buzhrock and myself) have is a lot of conscious songs, ready to inspire the youths out there," said Renegad. The Greater Portmore High School graduate has been getting regular airplay with his single Ungrateful Girl. He also has a collaboration with Fyakin titled Gideon Warrior which has gained positive responses.

Buzhrock, a former Excelsior High student who credits himself as the creator of the phrase 'Lava Ground' which was made popular by singer I-Wayne, considers himself a teacher and thinks he possesses the answer to what the music is lacking.

"My music is not an illusion .... this is the real world and the youths them need to hear the truth," he said.

The vocalist of the single Find Another Man has also been getting regular rotations, as he says, "there is no limit to this ... music is life and life is infinite."
