The fashionable Elephant

Hard-core garrison fashion Ele style is what STAR of the month Elephant Man describes his colourful fashion sense as.

"My fashion shows yuh how yuh suppose to dress coming from di garrison and stepping up inna life and a likkle part of yuhself. I don't go overboard, I go beyond everyting and use different colours" Elephant Man explained.

Ele is easily spotted at a dance, on the streets or in music videos, either by his flamboyant dressing or his signature two-tone hair. Elephant Man does everything different from the rest and considers himself to be one of the best-dressed artistes in the business. "If I'm doing a suit, it's a different kinda suit yuh a see mi in. If yuh see mi in shorts, it's wid socks, mi nuh waan see no skin a show" he said.

Shopping mainly in the States without using a stylist, Ele explained that he had just come from Los Angeles where he went on the Sunset Boulevard to do some shopping. One of the shops Ele frequents is noted designer Ed Hardy's as he said (while sporting a Ed Hardy sneakers), "di people at Ed Hardy are like family. Mi wear nuff stuff from dem, mi tek pichas for dem and wear one or two tings to shows for dem."

To complete Ele's look, as accessories, the Energy God loves his Jacob the Jeweller bling, often sporting numerous chains, bracelets, watches and rings. As for the hair, it's red and yellow all the way often treating his hair and getting it done at 'Jus Natural' or 'Rick's Barber Salon.'

He told THE STAR, "mi try just yellow, but di sista dem seh dem like di red and yellow. Mi try red by itself, but everyone just loves both colours."
