Elephant Man reads THE STAR with a friend.
Though not as hectic as his regular days, Elephant Man's day was as colourful as his attire when the STAR spent the day with him on Wednesday.
There was a contrast of colours when the 'elephant', dressed in light blue stepped out of his red Mercedes Benz; accompanied by dancer and deejay Tornado. With his song Dip Again pumping from his stereo at Q45 studios. Elephant Man and Tornado did the dance moves 'dip again' and 'sweep'.
After conducting a small interview with THE STAR, he insisted that the team could not see his day in one place; so he left.
While driving in his convertible, he apologised to THE STAR team for the heat, but said he could do nothing about it.
"Mi caan drive convertible wid di top no down. Di only time it go up a wen di rain a fall and it haffi fall hard to. If it a drizzle, mi will tek di likkle wet," he said, while in the distance someone was heard shouting 'broomy', which he tells people to call him in one of his songs.
Beauty salon
Even at the barber Elephant Man is keeping busy.
His next stop was at a beauty salon on Constant Spring Road. There, he got a shave and washed his braids. Before the barber applied the after-shave, Elephant Man asked if it would burn him and the barber said 'no'. When the liquid was applied Elephant jumped from the chair asking, "Den how yuh tell mi seh it nah go bun mi?".
On his way to the Big Ship studios, after the 'beauty fix', he stopped at an outdoor restaurant on Mannings Hill Road which he called 'Famous Taste at Hungry Town'. Immediately, the car was surrounded by men and boys eager to greet their deejay. He bought juices and treated himself to a piece of chicken from the restaurant; making time for a passing fan who stopped to take a picture.
At Big Ship studios, he spoke briefly with Freddie McGregor who was playing a board game with a group of men. He went inside the house and shouted Freddie's son Stephen, with whom he had a quick chat.

Afterwards he visited his home on the hill, where he was greeted by his many dogs. While playing with the dogs, one of them tried to bite his 'anaconda'. He took a drink in his sports bar, sorted out some house matters and then left for Q45 studios.
When he got there, he held a 'vibe' with the people present and made plans for Weddy Weddy later in the evening.
