Two years after his smash debut album 'Step Out', Busy Signal is ready to get 'Loaded' with the release of his second album.

Scheduled for release on September 9, Busy's new CD, Loaded will show a more mature and creative side of the artiste.

"There will be a whole heap of new songs, something unexpected, I try to bring some creativity to di people, something different from the regular," Busy told THE STAR.

Maintained a presence

After his not too wonderful performance at Sting 2006, Busy Signal came back full force in late 2007 and has since maintained a presence in the dancehall.

The new album will feature some of those monster hits including Jail, These Are the Days, Unknown Number and Wine Pon Di Edge.

On the album, Busy collaborates with a variety of producers for the album including Shane Brown, Leftside, Donovan Germaine, Stephen McGregor, DASECA, SSMG and a few upcoming producers.

For Busy, in two years he has learnt many lessons which have impacted on his growth as an entertainer. He says, "This album definitely shows growth, its a new style, new growth in my career steps, from Step Out to now, I will continue to do my best."

In 2006 Busy stepped out of the box releasing his debut album independently on his own label- Network Records.

This time, Busy plans to release with reggae giant VP Records. According to Busy he wanted his second album to get the expert touch that VP would provide.

"Its hard to release an album on your own, I need help more time, VP is a really well experienced company, they are more upfront, more money, they know these people and locations that I don't know at all," he said.

While the album isn't independently released, Busy says he has put in a lot of work and it is mostly his creative efforts.

International success

His expectations for the latest album is all about international success and recognition and not about record sales. "I don't depend on sales, I want the message and exposure, so that my music can bring me on an international market level like Shaggy, Sean Paul, Shabba," Busy Signal said.

In the meantime, the artiste is busy with his music, his record label and working on 'bussing' new artistes such as DeMarco and others, as he strives to help the youth like his mentor Bounty Killer. Busy also has a new video to be released entitled Tick Tock Tick, his first video with director Ras Kassa.

"It was great working with Ras Kassa, he does his ting different. The girls in the video haven't been in other videos in Jamaica," Busy commented.
