Portmore United crush Cumberland 6-0

Portmore United crushed the hopes of Cumberland after handing them a 6-0 drubbing in the semi-final of the Pines Imaging Centre/Keith Gentles competition at the Ferdie Neita Park playing field on Sunday.

As a result, Portmore United will meet Rodwood in tomorrow's final at the same venue, kick-off time 3 p.m. Rodwood defeated Daytona 2-0 in the other semi-final.

In the Portmore/Cumberland clash, Ricardo Webb struck a double, while Mikhail Howell, Derron Mcleod, Glovell Dinnall and Cajay Campbell got a goal apiece.

Portmore United and Rodwood drew 1-1 in the preliminary round and this set the stage for a hot final battle. Portmore, coached by veteran Jackie Walters, will go in the match as a favourite but don't rule out a Rodwood victory as the Floyd Coke-coached team is a determined bunch.
