Cops seek identity of dead man

The police are attempting to identify the body of a man, who was killed in a shoot-out more than a month ago.

The Bureau of Special Investigations (BSI) is seeking the public's assistance to locate the relatives of the unidentified man, who was fatally shot during an alleged shoot-out with the police on Thursday, July 3, 2008.

The shoot-out occurred at the intersection of Aston Villa Road and Orange Street in Kingston. The dead man is about 30 years old, of dark complexion, medium build and was wearing a plaid shirt, a pair of short, khaki pants and a pair of white sneakers.

The relatives, or anyone knowing their whereabouts, is being asked to contact Corporal English at the BSI at 967-0644, 119 or the nearest police station.
