Eastern All-Stars and House of Peace are the respective leaders of the premier and major leagues as the second round of the Wray & Nephew skittles competition ended last Sunday.
Eastern All-Stars crushed former champions Cherry's Strikers 6-1 (7-4) in their top of the table premier league clash at Meadowvale Strikers Sports Bar in Portmore.
Eastern raced into a 4-0 lead and proceeded to win in effortless fashion, clinching the match at 6-1 and 7-4 with the extended games.
Winning players for Eastern, up to the six, were Mark Prendergast, skipper Lloyd Smith, Vic Phillips, Carmel Clarke over Karlene Donaldson in the women's game, Ruddy Murphy and Paul Johnson.
Last year's beaten finalists Dragon kept their semi-final hopes alive with a 7-4 victory over hosts Meadowvale, the early season Pattex Cup champions.
In the major league, House of Peace kept their unbeaten record intact with a 6-4 victory over Olympic Strikers, while The Dip from Portmore cooled newcomers Mister C, 6-2.
Eastern All-Stars lead the premier league standings with 24 points, followed by Cherry's Strikers 21, Mystix 15, Dragon 12, defending champions Rowe's Strikers nine and Meadowvale, six.
Premier league action continues tomorrow with Eastern All-Stars at home to Meadowvale in east Kingston, while Rowe's Strikers will oppose Dragon at the same venue.
In the major league, Portmore's The Dip are at home to Olympic Strikers and Mister C up against House of Peace.
