Portsmouth thumps Waterford

Portsmouth had an emphatic 4-0 thumping of Waterford as the Linford Jones U-13 Football League kicked off on Wednesday with a triple header at the Passagefort playing field.

Cardel Benbow scored twice (23rd, 33rd), while, Tajae Brown (52nd), and captain Shevon Morgan netted a goal apiece for Portsmouth.

In the second game of the day, A.S. Roma blanked Hellshire United 3-0 and Cumberland had a come-from-behind 2-1 win over defending champions Passagefort United in the third and final game of the afternoon. The competition continues on Monday.

Games on Monday: Hellshire United vs Portsmouth 1 p.m., Passagefort United vs Waterford 2:15 p.m., Cumberland vs A.S. Roma 3:30 p.m., all games at the Cumberland playing field.
