Cops ID body

The body of a man who was found in Central Village two weeks ago has now been identified as that of the suspect who was wanted for the murder of a Danish national last year.

The body was identified as that of Ricardo McKenzie, who was wanted for the murder of 61-year-old Stanley Peterson, a road engineer employed to E. Pihl's and Sons.

According to police reports, on January 3, 2007, Peterson accompanied a woman to premises in Hart Hill, Portland, where he was then robbed and murdered.

Subsequent investigations led to a search for the woman and McKenzie, who was found dead.

The female suspect is reportedly still on the run.
