Laden RIDES THE magic carpet

Laden - file

Stage Name: Laden

Real Name: Okeefe Aaron

Birth Date: June 22, 1985

Which High School did you attend? Haile Selassie

How did you get started in the business?

Got my inspiration from a friend that passed away. I wrote my first song for him, a tribute song called Angus Tribute. It was from there I took it up professionally.

What has been your greatest challenge in the business yet?

To compete against other artistes and make my name in the real industry.

What have you been

up to lately?

I've been recording a lot of stuff for several producers across the island. I recorded a song for Big Ship (Steven McGregor) called Don't You Like It on the Chiney K rhythm. I also recorded other singles like Gal Coward on the Daybreak rhythm and Do Yuh Ting on the Workout rhythm. I now have an exclusive video out for the song called I'm Sorry.

Do you look up to any specific artiste?

Yeah, Sean Paul because of his melody.

Are you happy with the way things are going for your career right now?

Very much, so happy, never been happier.

Anything you'd like to change about it?

Nothing at all, enhance some more things and develop a lot more experience as time goes by.

What are your future plans?

Jus to keep doing music, this is what I love and like, also anywhere the music takes me, I'll be more than grateful.

Do you have any advice for young artistes coming up?

You've got to love what you do, have patience, faith and always remember the Lord.
