Don't be stupid

Dear Pastor,

I need your assistance in a matter I am going through. I am a 34-year-old woman and for the past four months, I have been involved with a 21-year-old guy, and we are in love. The problem is when he gets upset with me, he is very critical of me and even went as far as to call me stupid once. Although he has apologised, I am hurt and wonder if this outburst will occur again and if I should continue and forgive him like he wants me to.

Please, advise me, pastor.

P.G., Texas, USA

Dear P.G.,

This young man is likely to call you stupid again. He may even say something worst. He doesn't respect you that is why he criticises you. He thinks that he is smarter than you. By the way, what do you hope to gain from this relationship? You need a man who would respect you, not just a guy who would excite you in bed.

Pastor
