Man shot dead after business transaction

Rasbert Turner, STAR Writer

Persons doing business at the busy Life of Jamaica Plaza in Spanish Town almost caused a stampede on Tuesday afternoon after a man was shot and killed at the exit of the plaza, following a business transaction.

Charlie Blake, aka Charlie Pride, who the police said appeared to be in his 20s, of a Sydenham Villa address, was shot and killed at 3:45 pm.

Police told THE STAR that Blake went to transact business at the shopping centre and, as he was about to leave, he was shot repeatedly by unknown persons.

No motive has been established.
