Jamaica's Harbour View dethroned Villa Lions as they romped to a 5-0 win to capture the seventh annual Concerned Parents/Teachers Sports Association (CPTSA) Female Football Tournament championship at the Yasco Sports Complex on Sunday night.
Harbour View outclassed all their opponents in the tournament, and their win over Villa Lions was their fifth in a row.
Morvette Telloch scored two goals, while Peta-Gay Soman, Natasha Douglas and Shanique Mitchell added other strikes to complete a series of unchallenged victories for Harbour View.
The Jamaicans ended the tournament with a perfect record of not conceding a goal and winning their five games with an overall tally of 27 goals.
Harbour View players also picked up six of the seven individual awards presented, including the top-scorer prize to Shakira Duncan, who scored eight goals.
Her teammates Natasha Douglas (Most Assists), Shanique Mitchell (Most Outstanding Rookie), Stacy-Ann Johnson (Best Defender), Tanesia Vassel (Best Midfielder), and Argell London (Most Disciplined Player) also walked off with individual prizes.
Local player Nikisha Samuel prevented a Harbour View sweep of the awards by collecting the Best Goalkeeper award.
