Miss Jamaica World, Yendi Phillipps - file
For those who don't know STAR of the month Yendi Phillipps has a fun and quirky personality. In fact, for the duration of the interview, she smiled and laughed playfully as THE STAR spent five minutes with her asking some off beat questions.
STAR: If you were the last woman on earth, who would be the last male?
Yendi: "My dad."
STAR: Why?
Yendi: "Because I'm extremely close to my father, I think he's what every man should be, he's the best man I know."
STAR: What do you think of first thing in the morning?
Yendi: "The first thing I do is thank God for life, the first thing I think about is probably all the tasks I have to do for the day."
STAR: If you were an animal what animal would you be and why?
Yendi: "A butterfly, because I love the fact that butterflies are changing creatures, they seem to fly free and are pretty."
STAR: What annoys you the most?
Yendi: "'Ignorant behaviour', like nothing annoys me worse than people who are aggressive for no good reason. People who 'bad drive' you and then turn around and shout at you."
STAR: What are you afraid of?
Yendi: "I hate lizards. But Rising Stars made me hold an iguana so I think my fear is officially broke."
STAR: What did you want to be growing up?
Yendi: "I always wanted to work with children. At first I wanted to be a paediatrician and then I wanted to be a dance therapist."
STAR: Describe yourself in three words.
Yendi: "Fun-loving, energetic and enthusiastic."
STAR: Who was the first person you called when you won Miss Jamaica World?
Yendi: "Wow everyone I know was there, all my friends and family. But I had this one close friend who wasn't in the island so I called her and told her."
