Vegas
Dancehall artiste Mr Vegas has a heavy line-up for the summer with tours, new music, festivities and appearances.
Vegas has a European tour in July, consisting of several stops, including appearances on the widely acclaimed Summerjam Reggae Festival in Cologne, Germany and Rototom Sunsplash in Ossopo, Udine, Italy.
He will also be releasing his new song Good Up, Good Up and then he's off to a tour of Africa. Mr Vegas is scheduled to arrive in Uganda and several surrounding countries in August.
Mr Vegas will also be celebrating his 10th anniversary in the business all summer long with festivities including a West Coast tour and a grand finale fete in New York City.
"It is truly exciting to be fortunate enough to have over ten productive years in the business," says Mr Vegas. "I am ever-so-grateful to the fans who have supported me over the years... I have my mind set on another fruitful decade."
Video Light Medley
The Video Light Medley is set to be premiered today on local cable stations RETV and Hype TV. The medley which was done by Xplosive Productions was shot recently as part of their latest project called the 'Video Light Rhythm'. The video was directed by Wayne Benjamin and features acts like: T.O.K, Alozade, Black Er, Ms Thing and Monster Twinz. All the songs on the 'Video Light' are geared towards the females and will definitely have them on the dance floor again.
TIFA
Upcoming female artiste Tifa recently shot the video for her new single titled Bottom of the Barrel on Ward 21's Estrogen Rhythm. The video was directed by Dexter Pottinger, who was also responsible for the all-female Dem Gyal Sitt'n Medley videos 1 and 2, Bubble LikeSoup, Tinky Winky and a host of other music videos.
Tifa is presently working on her first and upcoming album entitled Sex, Love and Lies which will be released in Japan and Europe in November. Featured on the album are songs such as Tinky Winky, Kitty Police and Crawny Gyal.
C Sharp
Jamaican band C Sharp left the island yesterday for two performances in Italy and will later travel to Kenya, Tanzania and Ethiopia.
C Sharp will once again this summer grace African stages, as they have been invited back to Kenya and will also for the first time to visit Tanzania and Ethiopia.
Courtney John
Courtney John recently returned from the UK on a promotional blitz for the Unselfish album. His latest single Ready To Go is slowly smoking the global airwaves. He has also recently teamed up with producer Lenky for the song Save Us All.
Apart from that, Courtney John is set to blaze the American stage this summer as the opening act for legendary lovers rock crooner Beres Hammond on his highly anticipated North American tour 'A Moment In Time', kicking off on July 30 in California and will travel to Canada and back to the US east coast to end the 32-date tour in Washington DC.
