Many persons turned out in May Pen last Friday night for the Guinness Rhythm Rules Road Show held at Leiba's Esso Tiger Mart.

The show got off to an early start at 7 pm and there were lots of give-aways throughout the night. Several persons captured prizes of $3000 and $5000 along with free buckets of Guinness.

Ricardo "Fire Ricky" Richards emerged overall champion when he collected $5000 in the face-off which consisted of six upcoming selectors from Clarendon.

The crowd had a great deal of entertainment for the night as they had a taste of three top sound system selectors, Bad Ras, Pink Panther and Fire Links.

Pink Panther alongside Black Cat took the floor at 11:36 pm and had the crowd in a frenzy. His greatest forward from the crowd came when he drew the Richie Spice song The Plane Land and tunes by the 'Gully God' Mavado.

Dancing talent

Bad Ras alongside Nagier took the floor at 12:22 am and took the the crowd into gospel mode while proclaiming himself the number one juggling selector.

He played songs like The Lord is my shepherd and Hear my cry o Lord before getting into the oldies which had the crowd dancing off their feet.

Bad Ras, however, had the dancers in the crowd like, Hyper Active Clique, Mad Squad and Shabba Moschino showcasing their dancing talent when he called for songs like Gully Creeper, No Linger and Throw Dem Overboard.

Fire Links took the floor at 1am Saturday and made an appeal to the crowd for unity in Clarendon before starting on a conscious note with several songs from Bob Marley like, Natural Mystic, One Love and Crazy Ball Heads.

He later moved into several songs from Dennis Brown and had the lighters out when he switched to the likes of Mavado and Munga.

At 2 am Fire Links told the crowd to have a good morning and travel home safely as he brought the show to a close.
