A Westmoreland taxi operator who was arrested and charged with larceny after a cow's carcass was found in his taxi on Tuesday.
Twenty-eight-year-old Troy Williams, also called 'Bumb Rust', of Seaton Crescent in the parish, was slapped with the charge after policemen searched his vehicle and found the carcass.
Police reports are that about 3 a.m., members of the Westmore-land Island Special Constabulary Force were on patrol along Darling Street in Savanna-la-Mar when they signalled the driver of a Toyota Caldina motor car to stop.
Upon stopping, a man, who was accompanying the driver, reportedly fled the scene.
The car was subsequently searched and the carcass of a bull found, after which Williams was arrested.
Further reports are that a man claiming to be the owner of the cow visited the station and identified the remains of the bull as one which was recently stolen from him.
