Jamaicans Kirk Ziadie and Wesley Henry were in winners' row again last Saturday in Calder horse racing and Ziadie's triumph in the 10th race widened his early lead in the trainers' standings.
Ziadie's Toga Toga's Image, a 3-to-2 favourite, won the US$17,500 5-1/2 furlong sprint easily and Henry, who had won twice on Friday, scored in the sixth race.
In the 10th race, jockey Eddie Dominguez pushed the four-year-old filly Toga Toga's Image to lead from the start.
She was comfortable in front and accelerated impressively down the home stretch to win by 11 lengths in one minute 06.09 seconds.
After scoring a triple success on Friday, this latest win was Ziadie's 13th of the season and he leads Edward Plesa (8) by five at the top of the standings.
Henry, now just outside the top 10 riders here with seven wins, was an easy winner of the US$17,500 sixth race over five furlongs with the two-year-old filly Renda.
Going off as a 10-1 bet in the eight-horse field, Renda set a pressured pace under Henry and quickened coming off the final turn to win by five lengths in 59.23.
