Dancers Blaze with High Intensity

Though only three persons danced for a chance to be in D'Angel's High Intensity music video they definitely turned up the heat in the Gleaner's Sports Club on Friday.

The three contestants were Chanise Henry, Sudiene Christie and Shena Finn. Chanise was the first person to audition, dancing to Beenie Man's Back It Up. She was splitting, shaking and wining in all directions. She showed that she was versatile by dancing to RDX's Dancers Boom. In her last selection she did dance moves like 'slam dem', 'luggo luggo' and 'to the world'.

Sudiene was much too tame for the competition as she could not keep up with Chanise and was light weight for Shena who auditioned after.

'Head top'

Shena, like Chanise, started her routine with RDX's Dancers Boom and displayed many of the latest dance moves. She got the audience excited when she went on her 'head top' then made her way onto the chair that she used as her prop. She stood on the chair and did other acrobatic moves when she danced to Charley Black's 'daggering' song.

Realising the competition at hand, the 'fluffy' Chanise dug deep into her catalogue for dance moves and ignited the stage when she performed to D'Angel's Blaze.

Sudiene was rather creative when she danced to Blaze. She grabbed a handbag, put on her shades and modelled with a copy of THE STAR. She really showed what it meant to 'blaze'.

In the battle round the DJs Bengal, Jamar and Dregon from Extreme Vybes increased the momentum when they played D'Angel and Vybz Kartel's Caan Stall. In this section the remaining contestants, Shena and Chanise, got rather explicit. It was a battle to see who could wine faster, split the most and draw more attention.

D'Angel was so impressed with Shena and Chanise that she chose both of them to be in her High Intensity video.

Shena Finn was one of two dancers who won a spot in D'Angel's High Intensity music video. Here, she is seen performing at the dancer's competiton held recently at The Gleaner Company's Sports Club.
