A 24-year-old labourer who was held by the police in St Catherine with an illegal gun will be facing the Spanish Town RM Court on Tuesday.

Charged with illegal possession of firearm and ammunition is Dwayne Davis of Brivet Road, Frazers Content, St Catherine.

Reports from the Spanish Town police are that about 1:30 p.m. on Wednesday, a police party saw Davis walking along Brivet Road. He started to behave in a suspicious manner and was searched and a .38 revolver, along with six live rounds, was taken from his waistband. He was subsequently charged by the lawmen.
