A woman caught while allegedly attempting to export cocaine to the United States was remanded when the matter was mentioned yesterday.
Angella Stewart appeared in the Corporate Area Resident Magistrate's Court where she pleaded not guilty to possession of, dealing in and attempting to export cocaine.
The court was told that Stewart went to the Norman Manley International Airport where she checked in to board a flight to New York. Her luggage was searched and five pairs of slippers containing what appeared to be cocaine were found. She was arrested and charged.
Senior Resident Magistrate Glen Brown ordered that Stewart's fingerprints be taken. A mention date was also set for June 10.
