1.What are your thoughts on the number of women entering the dancehall industry?
D'Angel: "Great, the more the merrier. We need more females in the business. We can make the change. The more females in the business with a positive input the better."
2. What do you think about Buju's call on artistes to clean up the music? Will you be doing any song to support that cause?
D'Angel: "We (artistes) are role models so if we don't set an example for this generation and the next generation to follow, who will make the difference? The onus is on us to do more positive and uplifting music. Reggae is a brand and lude music does not have any longevity. I have always been doing clean and positive music. I will never step out of line, I am just going to continue on that path."
3. Have you ever been a victim of crime?
D'Angel: "Never. No to violence!"
4. What do you think the government can do to improve the crime situation?
D'Angel: "It's a big economic problem. The government needs to provide more job opportunities. There are many qualified people, but they have no jobs, so the government needs to provide more jobs. They need to provide training and opportunities for entrepenuership."
5. What are some of the life lessons that you have learnt?
D'Angel: "Life is not a bed of roses. Not everything you perceive life to be is what it is. Not everything you will want in life you will get how you want it. You just have to expect the unexpected. But just be strong, believe in God and be strong within yourself."
6. Is there anything in your life that you would have done differently?
D'Angel: "I think it's ordained and it has taught me a lot. The only thing I would do differently is not to rush into anything and do my research before doing anything so that I don't have to say sorry. So, just take things slowly and let nature take its course."
7. Do you regret the fact that your marriage with Beenie Man failed?
D'Angel: "No, back then I tried and I would have loved for our marriage to work. Marriage is a sanctity with God and I am a God-fearing person, so I don't cross that line. Sometimes things work and sometimes they don't, but it's life. If it was my will I wouldn't want to break that covenant."
8. Would you ever consider re-marrying?
D'Angel: "Most definitely, marriage is a beautiful thing, so never say never."
9. Do you plan to have more children?
D'Angel: "Not right now. Marco Dean is my priority and my work and I want to put in some more years in the music. It's something that I love and devote a lot of time to. As it stands, it's music and growing my child. I am not ready to mingle anytime soon."
10.What do you think about people calling you a 'gold digger'?
D'Angel: "As long as you are a public figure people will always come at you especially when you are on the rise. Negativity motivates me. If it wasn't for them I wouldn't be as strong as I am. If you know the person you are, hold your head high and look to the future.
Nobody can define who I am but me. Nothing can change me. I am always going to maintain me, turning the negative into positive."
