Circus Circle whip Explorers in hockey action

Defending Champions Circus Circle whipped Explorers 7-0 in the Jamaica Hockey Federation in round two of the Premier League competition played at the Mona Astro Turf on Sunday.

New team

Circus Circle were playing their first game of the season against Explorers, one of the two new teams in this year's competition.

In the day's other games, Tropics One and Excelsior One played to a 2-2 draw and St Andrew One went down 2-0 to Sharpes One.

In action on Saturday, St Andrew Two wrapped up the Division Two title with a 2-0 victory over Excelsior, giving them maximum 15 points from five games.

The next round of matches will be played this weekend. In the first game on Saturday, St Andrew One will play Excelsior One at 3:00 p.m. and Sharpes Rebel and Raiders United will square-off at 4:30 p.m.

In Sunday's games, Tropics Two and Excelsior Two will play at 1:30 p.m. The Jamaica Defence Force will meet a Combined Colleges team at 3:00 p.m. and Tropics One and Sharpes One will play at 4:30 p.m.

All games are scheduled to be played at the Mona hockey field.
