Franze and Francine Mullings - Elgin Taylor
Franze and Francine Mullings may not fit the usual profile of twins. Apart from being of different sexes, they do not bear a striking resemblance to each other, and their difference in size is obvious.
Notwithstanding, there are many similarities between these nine-year-old Old Harbour Bay Primary School students.
"I like mathematics and I like playing games like cricket and football," Franze told The Star Life and Times.
"I like mathematics and reading, and I also play games like skipping," quipped his sister.
Both of them said that they look forward to doing their class homework whenever they are set such tasks by their teacher.
They are also avid fruit eaters, with a preference for apples, pineapples and foreign pears.
Like many other youngsters in Jamaica, they are fond of dancing. However, the music that captivates Francine is neither reggae nor soca; she likes to sing and dance to cheerleading songs.
She pointed out that her cousin has a book on cheerleading and that they often sang and danced at home.
The siblings are described by mom, Angella Grant, as being diligent workers around the home, performing chores like washing the dishes, sweeping the house and spreading the beds. She said like any other siblings, they have their occasional quarrels and fights, but, otherwise, they are a mom's delight.
In terms of career choices, Franze said he would like to become an auto mechanic when he grows up, while Francine hopes to join the teaching profession because she admires the work of her tutor.
