THE EDITOR, Sir:
As murderers and criminals continue to maintain a strangle-hold over Jamaica and become more presumptuous with their antics and killer-instinct, we the well-thinking people, the concern citizens, the peacemakers must seek to become more united, more loving and loyal to each other. In doing this, the Creator of the universe will give us the insight, the knowledge, the wisdom and the understanding to counteract this mafia.
People are held up at gunpoint and robbed on the streets and other places. Let us be careful wherever we go. Look before you leap. Safety first. I am saying especially to the women, avoid lonely roads, walk with company. Be careful where you go and whom you go out with.
Be wise, be vigilant. When you go to the bank, someone might be watching you. When you go to the tax office to license your car, or to the garage, someone may be taking a note of your car - envying you for it or plotting to steal it.
Do you realise how often I have been talking about these things - giving out the warning? Young woman be careful, people be careful. There are men with bad intentions walking around armed with knives and guns, anxious to kill. Beware!
I am, etc.,
