When Michelle 'D'Angel' Downer said that she had a strong, supportive unit that always surrounded her, she was not joking.

Downer's sisters and mother have always been a tower of strength in her life and, despite the fact that D'Angel is a celebrity, her sisters say they do not see her any differently from how they did before.

One of D'Angel's sisters, Angela, says, "No, that (being a celebrity) doesn't change a thing. We talk, bond and give advice in whatever areas. We call up each other any time and talk about anything."

Jaqueline, the eldest, who is always by D'Angel's side, says, "I love Angel so much. She's a beautiful person. Words can't explain ... I've travelled the world with her."

And for Peta-Gay, "It just feels natural (interacting with her celebrity sister) because she's my sister, so we talk and interact like normal."

All sisters, however, confessed that they party with D'Angel a lot. "We're her everything: entourage, sisters, make-up artiste, manager, everything."

Upcoming designers, this is your chance to BLAZE!

In a unique competition, one lucky designer will get the chance to 'blaze' with the STAR of the Month, D'Angel. Known for her sexy, yet classy, style, D'Angel is calling all upcoming designers to create an outfit for her. According to the star, she is looking for an outfit that is creative and showcases her unique style.

Designers have from Wednesday, May 14-Friday, May 23, to bring their designs to THE STAR, 7 North Street, Kingston.

D'Angel's measurements are: 34-27-39. She is 5'10'' tall.

D'Angel promises to wear the outfit to a stage show or event and to promote the designer if the outfit is really banging.
