The Marine Police seized two metal canisters containing compressed ganja at the Shell Pier in Rockfort, Kingston 2 on Saturday.

The canisters were attached to a ship docked at the pier.

Police reports are that about 1:20 a.m., on Saturday, a routine security check was carried out on a ship docked at the pier. During the search, police found the two metal canisters.

No one has been arrested in connection with the seizure. The two canisters, which were cut open about on Monday morning are believed to contain about 82 kilograms (180 lb) of ganja.

The Marine police are investigating.
