Naggo Head are on top at the Insport/Swizzzle Primary Athletic Championships after three days of competition at the National Stadium.
Defending champions St Benedict are closing strongly, however, after picking up 16 points in the boys' high jump open, the final event of the day.
After four finals, Naggo Head lead overall with 41 points, followed by St Benedict's on 28.75. Spanish Town 18.75, Angels 15, New Providence 10, St Jude's nine, St Catherine seven, St Patrick 6.75, Morant Bay 3.5, Waterford three and Excelsior three, round off the top ten.
Two finals were contested on the day, with St Benedict's gaining a one-two finish in the boys' high jump open. Carlington Moulton collected his second gold of the meet with a record height of 1.51 metres. The previous record was 1.50m. His teammate, Jordon Edwards placed second, getting up to 1.45m and Naggo Head's Theo Samuels, also 1.45m, was third.
St Jude's Josephine Miller used her last attempt to win gold in the long jump leaping 4.59m, turning back challenges from Naggo Head's Kerry-Ann Gicoul (4.45m) and Nigorsha Smith (4.35m).
In Thursday's two finals, Naggo Head collected 23 points. They finished first and second in girls' high jump, with Jodi-Kay Peterkin getting up to 1.45m and Shadae Lawrence, 1.40m.
St Benedict's landed gold in the boys' long jump. Carlington Moulton won with 4.95m. Silver medal winner, New Providence's Sheldon Wright had an identical leap, while Spanish Town Primary's Jevaughn Lewis copped bronze.
Naggo Head will be hard-pressed to hold off St Benedict's on today's final day. The latter have more athletes in the finals, including nine relay finals.
