Illegal Bahamians given ten days to leave

Two Bahamian nationals, who entered the country illegally, were given 10 days to leave when they appeared in the Corporate Area Resident Magistrate's Court on Tuesday.

The accused men, Ernest Forest and Canon Cooper, told the court that they arrived in the country by boat. They also revealed that they had docked in Old Harbour, St.Catherine.

Both men told Resident Magistrate Glen Brown that they would contact their relatives and try to get airline tickets.

RM Brown then ordered a removal order for both men, giving them 10 days to leave the island.
