Two teens are among four persons killed over the weekend in separate incidents.
The Hunts Bay CIB are investigating the circumstances surrounding the death of Chevonie Spence, 14, at her Glen Road, Kingston 13, home.
Reports say Spence and other relatives were at home when explosions were heard. She was subsequently found suffering from gunshot wounds and was rushed to the Kingston Public Hospital where she was pronounced dead.
The other teen, Roger Gardener, 19, was shot dead last Friday night. Police reports say about 9:30 p.m., Gardener was walking along Glasspole Avenue in Rockfort, Kingston, when he was attacked by two men. He reportedly ran but was chased to a nearby premises where he was shot several times. He died while undergoing treatment at the Kingston Public Hospital. The Elletson Road police are seeking two men who go by the names of 'Charlie Whop' and 'Pops' for questioning in connection with the incident.
In St James, two men were shot dead and several vehicles set ablaze by gunmen in Albion last Friday.
Dead are Owen McKenzie, 48, of Albion, and Erick James Roberts, otherwise called 'Buck', 43, of Heartease, Manchester. Reports say about 6:30 p.m., the men were at a workshop in the community when gunmen entered and shot both men several times. Upon leaving, the gunmen set fire to the building. The fire engulfed nine vehicles parked at the premises. The men were pronounced dead at the Cornwall Regional Hospital. Three units from the Montego Bay Fire Department extinguished the blaze.
