THE EDITOR, Sir:

The movie star Charlton Heston has passed away leaving the movie industry and fans saddened. However, Heston was immortalised by others, young and not so young, in the film industry.

I remember him in 'True Lies' with then actor Arnold Schwarzenegger. He played Colonel Taylor in the Sci-fi movie titles 'Planet of the Apes'. He returned in the remake but as a dying old ape.

Heston's memorable screen roles of all-time are too many to mention so here's my favourite's Cecile B DeMille's epic The Ten Commandments, Ben Hur, Omega Man, Michelangelo, The Greatest Show on Earth and Planet of the Apes.
