All four zones have begun to take shape following three completed rounds of the Parts-a-Lot-sponsored INSPORTS/Peter Lindsay Memorial eight-a-side football competition held in Clarendon.
Defending champions Webblanders share the lead on five points with Herbs in Zone A with identical goal difference. The two featured in a 1-1 draw in the opening match of the season, while both whipped Cuban Links 3-0.
Vietnam Alliance, with seven points, hold a two-point lead on Khaki Suit despite both being unbeaten. Vietnam Alliance garnered their points with a 1-0 win over Gravel Hill, a 3-1 victory over Dumpy in addition to a 1-1 draw with Khaki Suit.
Fresh Stars rule the roost in Zone C, amassing maximum nine points from three games, the same as Taxi Gang in Zone D. Fresh Stars have been very impressive conceding a mere two goals while scoring 13, including last weekend's 7-0 demolition of Mineral Heights.
Taxi Gang has featured so far in 1-0 wins over Kennedy Grove and Bucknor before clipping Original Hazard 3-2 in one of the feature games last weekend. The competition continues this weekend with Khaki Suit vs Dumpy and Cuban Links against Savannah Cross (Saturday) with most interest likely to be generated on Sunday when the unbeaten pair of Fresh Stars and Taxi Gang take on Gunners and Kennedy Grove, respectively.
