Last year's beaten finalist, Humble Lions of Clarendon, will have to get past the might of the St Catherine trio of Naggo Head, Rivoli and Bodles when the semi-finals of the Super Plus-sponsored South Central Confed Super League gets under way this weekend.
On Sunday, Humble Lions, who topped their preliminary zone, travel to Naggo Head, who finished second to Rivoli.
Rivoli, the overwhelming favourites, make the trip to face parish mates Bodles, who have made the semis in their very first year of competition. Rivoli, who from early made it clear they intend to return to the Premier League, have won the mid-season final and have been unbeaten since. They also qualified for the semis with three preliminary rounds to go.
Despite the obvious strength of the St Catherine teams in the competition, two were among the teams relegated. Arlington threw in the towel just after the mid-season while Newlands were confirmed, along with Holland PYC of St Elizabeth, as the teams relegated.
