Two teenagers arrested on Tuesday in connection with the seizure of 3000 Cuban-made light bulbs and a stolen motor vehicle, were charged yesterday.
Superintendent Anthony Morris, head of the St. Andrew North police, said the two were charged with unlawful possession of property and will face an identification parade today. The People's National Party caretaker being sought, turned himself in to the police yesterday, accompanied by a lawyer. He is to be questioned today.
Reports say about 1:45 p.m., police were conducting a spot check in Stony Hill, St.Andrew, when they intercepted a Toyota Yaris motor car with the teens, ages 19 and 17.
Investigations revealed that the vehicle was stolen a few days earlier and allegedly used in a series of robberies in the division. A further probe led the police to Stony Hill where the bulbs were found.
