Minister of Information, Youth, Culture and Sports, Olivia Grange said yesterday that Jamaica will be in China this summer for the Beijing Olympics.
Grange, who was speaking at the launch of the fourth renewal of the Jamaica International Invitational meet at the Hilton hotel, said the country will be participating in the world's greatest sporting event.
"... There are some controversies now (and) people have been asking what Jamaica is doing about the participation in light of the protest and controversies ... At this time, up to this point, the ministry of foreign affairs, which is responsible for international relations, has indicated that we are participating," she said.
